beauty #27 Thyme & cedarwood for joint and backache rub








This thyme rub is ideal for the relief of backachr and joint pains and should be used immediately after the bath or shower. Cedarwood enhances the healing effects of thyme.

RECIPE

2 ounces jojoba oil
12 drops thyme essential oil
12 drops cedarwood essential oil

Mix ingredients thoroughly and massage into affected areas with a slow circular motion.

Jojoba is one of  the most popular carrier oil. Rich in vitamin E, easily absorbed by the skin and adds more shelf life than most carrier oil. Vetiver essential oil in combination with jojoba has a calming effect and grounding properties in addition to its soothing rich woody scent.


RECIPE

1/2 cup jojoba oil
40 drops vetiver essential oil

MIX the oils and store in an amber glass. Use for full body aromatherapy massages or for local applications to soothe tired and sore muscles.

beauty #24 Cooling witch hazel and wheat germ oil moisturizer



This particular moisturizer is high in vitamin E from wheat germ oil. It also has a cooling and cleansing property from the witch hazel. The lemon oil adds a cool refreshinf scent.

RECIPE

2 tablespoons grated beeswax
2 tablespoons distilled water
1/4 cup wheat germ oil
2 tablespoons witch hazel
2 drops lemon essential oil

Melt beeswax and distilled water over low heat then pour it into a blender.
On low speed, gradually add wheat germ oil and witch hazel and blend until smooth. add essential oil and pour into a jar. Lotion will thicken as it cools. Beacause of its cooling effects, this moisturizer is ideal for summer months.

beauty #23 Rose & Galbanum body softener for normal to oily skin

When applied to the skin Galbanum oil alleviates skin irritations and an effective skin regenerator. combined with rose oil which fights wrinkles, this body  lotion can be used for the face and hands.

RECIPE

2 tablespoons beeswax
1/4 cup distilled water
1/2 cup almond oil or apricot oil
1/4 cup rose water
5 drops galbanum essential oil
4 drops rose essential oil

Melt beeswax with dostilled water. When melted, pour into a blender and blend on low speed. while blender is running, gradually pour in almond oil or apricot oil, rose water,and essential oils. the mixture will have the texture of frosting and will thicken as it cools. Pour into a glass jar or container. This is a thick lotion so use it sparingly. will last for 3 to 5 months.

COCONUT BODY BUTTER for DRY SKIN

All of this ingredients has lots of moisturizing and wonderful skin softening effect on your skin. Just perfect for the cold weather months. Coconut oil has lots of vitamins and minerals and is a good skin softener. Cocoa butter protects the skin from the wind and cold weather. Sesame oil has wonderful sunscreen properties and Olive oil is ideal for soothing the skin that has been exposed to nature's elements. So write down your shopping list and check your pantry you may already have some of these ingredients.


RECIPE

2 tablespoons grated beeswax
2 teaspoons distilled water
1/2 cup cocoa butter
3 tablespoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 tablespoons olive oil

Melt the beeswax over low heat with the water. Spoon in cocoa butter and blend. Gradually blend in sesame oil, coconut oil and olive oil. Pour into a glass jar. Lotion will thicken as it cools. Apply liberally over body.
