afternoon stroll

Ginataang halo-halo or Binignit

Sunday afternoon was very pleasant, so pleasant that we decided to go for a walk at a nearby school. After all, our bellies were full. I cooked some Gintaang halo-halo in the morning, a traditonal Filipino snack. It's a mixture of (which translates the halo-halo) plantain banana, sweet potato or yam, taro root, glutinous rice and tapioca pearl, boiled in some water, coconut milk and sweetened with brown sugar. I did not put any tapioca on my Ginataan, coz my daughter never really liked them.
