Stew(combo of irish and hunter's stew) and french bread |
|
broccoli slaw |
|
homemade french bread |
|
fresh carrot and apple juice |
It was raining since this morning, though it was not that cold we feel like having some kind of soup for dinner. I immediately thought of the Irish stew i used to cook when we were full pledged meat lovers... : ). But this time, i tweaked the recipe a little bit. I sort of combined two recipes in one. Hunter's stew and Irish stew. I decided to experiment simply because i love both. Hunter's stew has more tomato as base sauce while Irish stew has lots of vegetable in it. So why not combined both! Honestly, i have no clue if it's going to be good or not but it turns out to be a match made in heaven ......MMMMMMM.......
I served the stew with some homemade french bread, coz hubby and daughter love it, some salad on the side and our healthy drink carrot-apple juice(i know it looks nasty but trust me it really taste good). I had some rice on the table but, surprise, surprise we didn't have any. Gosh, Those big slice of bread? just a couple of them is more than enough to keep your belly full.
Nothing beats a warm hearty meal on a rainy day like this!
looks delicious!!
